Lieber George, gerade höre ich Dein Album zum zweiten Mal, und bin zum zweiten Mal überwältigt, obwohl ich schon beim ersten Mal nichts anderes erwartet hatte. Und es ist Dir eine große Überraschung gelungen. Diese Art der Überwältigung ist eine sanfte, gefühlvolle Macht.
Hillside. Opus Magnum, enormous feat and dream-come-true. The work on the symphonic album ’Hillside’ recorded in Skopje October 2018 with the Macedonian Symphonic Orchestra (directed by Oleg Kondratenko) proved often difficult.
In September 2019, Marian Gold, lead singer of the german million-sellers ’Alphaville’ (Forever Young, Big In Japan, both 1984) ordered a vinyl copy (one of the last five in stock!) of the George Hennig album ’First Snow’(released 1978).
Peter Rusch & George Hennig have shared friendship and a musical partnership for more than four and a half decades. After starting out together 1974 (picture) with ’Wishing Well’, Peter became 1978 the leading member of ’The Zodiacs’ whilst George tried his luck in several bands.
Diese Produktion aus Sicht des Produktionsteams als schwierige Erfahrung zu bezeichnen wäre in mancher Hinsicht masslos untertrieben. Alle an der Produktion Beteiligten sind froh, dass das Ende in Sicht ist. Die grafische Gestaltung sowie der Misch- und Mastering-Prozess sind abgeschlossen.

A celebration of 40 years of R’n’R, the Zodiac’s new album “This Starshine Moment” was performed before an enthusiastic sold-out audience at the legendary ‘Atlantis’ venue in Basel.
In October 2018, Olivier Truan and George Hennig came together with the Macedonian Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Oleg Kondratenko at the FAME’s Studio in Skopje to record 13 tracks for George’s forthcoming Album “Hillside”.
“Hillside” – collaboration with Olivier Truan
For the 12 Tracks on his new album “Hillside”, George Hennig will collaborate with composer and arranger Olivier Truan. Olivier will transform George’s compositions (already recorded as demos) into miniature “symphonic pop-tunes” composed for a 44-piece orchestra. Hennig and Truan will travel to Skopje in October 2018 to record the twelve tracks with the Macedonian Symphonic Orchestra ‘F.A.M.E.’S.’.
